Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and can relax in new comfy pajamas today with a mug of hot cocoa and a good book – perhaps a western romance set in the late 1800s with a girl named Anna and some braids that need unbraiding.
In a nutshell, The Unbraiding of Anna Brown tells the story of a hardened widower who slowly awakens from grief when faced with Anna, a sweet and willful young lady in need of some old-fashioned discipline. Hope you enjoy this excerpt.
“All right, young lady, you’re going to turn yourself over my lap. You’ve had a spanking coming for some time now, and I intend to give it to you right now, right smart.”
Anna gave him the wide-eyed expression he had anticipated.
“Lickety-split, or it’ll be worse for you.” Taking her arm, he guided the surprised yet compliant girl over his legs. The curve of her shapely bottom upturned on his lap was such a pretty site that he waited no longer than a second before he gave it a solid spank.
Anna gasped. “Carter, I don’t understand.”
“What don’t you understand, darlin’?”
“I don’t understand why you’re spanking me!”
“Oh, that.” He grinned and spanked her some more, the swats no harder than firm pats over her dress and petticoat. “Did you really think I’d let you get away with […]”
Wish I could tell you what he’s not letting her get away with, but that would be a spoiler, so my lips are sealed.

It’s always nice to know why you’re being spanked – even if you don’t already agree.

What is he letting her get away with? Come on! You can’t leave us hanging! 😉
Mwahaha (evil laugh). 🙂
Yeah, I agree with Meredith. Unfair! We want to know what she’s being upbraided for (let alone unbraided).
Haha! Okay, one hint. She broke something of his.
Great snippet, Amelia, and I love that cover!
Get away with what! Oh you tease… 🙂 Well, we’ll just have to wait till next week… won’t we!!
