Old West Romance

Happy New Year!

I hope that 2020 is off to a good start for you. I’ve been busily working on my next book, and it’s been challenging yet enjoyable to write. I won’t say much, since it’s still a few months away from being published, but I will say that if you’ve read my books, the heroine will be familiar to you. She appears as a secondary character in one of my recent novels and is a bonafide villainess. To say she could use some taming by a hard-handed, hard-headed alpha male would be an understatement.

At the moment, you dislike her, but by the time you read this book I’m working on, I think you’ll come to understand her. I love taking a two-dimensional character from one book and developing her into a three-dimensional character in another book, where the reader can discover what makes her tick and even identify with her flaws. And as a reader, I get a kick out of stories like this. In fact, I remember enjoying them even as a child. What comes to mind is Beverly Cleary’s Henry Huggins series. I thought Ramona was a huge pain in the ass when I read about her from Henry’s point of view, but in Beezus and Ramona I identified with her and wanted to cheer her on.

Anyway, that’s what’s currently in the works. I look forward to sharing the rest with you soon!

Paperbacks now available

I recently took some time to format my books so that they can be sold as paperbacks. If you like to thumb through actual pages as opposed to tapping on an app, go check them out. You can click on the covers below to take you right to Amazon.
